Windy and Warm Today
A weak upper level disturbance will bring scattered snow showers to Southeast Montana and the Western Dakotas this morning. Otherwise, today and tomorrow will be mainly about wind and warmer than average temperatures. The sky will be generally partly cloudy, with highs today and Wednesday in the 30s and 40s. Lows tonight will be mainly upper teens and 20s, but a lot of the readings may start to warm overnight. Wednesday will likely be the warmest day this week in most locations, with a 50 degree reading not out of the question somewhere in our area tomorrow.
Winter returns on Thursday with very cold air and accumulating snowfall returning the area. Best chance of snow is Thursday afternoon through Friday afternoon. Temperatures will struggle to make it into the teens across much of the area on Friday. Also expect snow-packed and slick roads across much of the area.
