Strong west winds will continue in the mountain foothills west of Billings today, with some of that wind pushing across the plains. Gusts from 50 to 60 mph will be common from Livingston and Nye, with some of the strongest winds around Big Timber.
Meantime, an unsettled pattern coming in from the north over the region will bring a good chance of snow showers over Southeastern Montana and North Central Wyoming today. Accumulations should be on the light side. Highs today will range from the upper 20s to low 40s. Overnight lows will drop to the upper teens and 20s by Wednesday morning.
Temperatures will slowly warm toward more seasonal readings by Wednesday with drier conditions. Highs will be in the mid-30s to 40s. Strong winds are expected along the Front Range and South Central Montana through midweek causing some areas of blowing and drifting snow.
