Here Come the Winds
Colder Air has already backed in to the area from the east overnight, setting up a slightly cooler day. Highs will be mainly in the 30s. Livingston winds have been gusty overnight to as high as 58 mph, but they will slacken through the morning. It will be generally mostly cloudy today, with cirrus clouds giving us some filtered sunshine.
Clouds will increase tonight, and the wind will again increase closer to the mountains. Lows will range from the teens in Eastern Montana, where the colder air will start to retreat, to the low 30s in the wind-prone foothills. Billings will likely start tomorrow in the upper 20s.
Thursday has all the promise of a windy day. Strong upper level winds should push gusts across the area to 45 mph. Yesterday, it looked like a chance of showers would be in the mix for Thursday, but now it looks like any showers that form would likely be dried out by the wind, and could pull some of the stronger winds to the surface.
