The Chips Are Not Around
I am always amazed at the amount of friends that I have made over the years. And when something big happens, it also astounds me how far and wide my friends are stretched across the globe. Such is the case with the debut of the three new flavors of Lays Potato Chips. In case you missed it the three new flavors are Chicken and Waffles, Cheesy Garlic Bread and Sriracha (in the flavor of the traditional hot sauce). Every one of my radio friends has been out in search of the new chips from Lays, including me.
Before dinner tonight we plotted out our strategy of finding the new chips in Billings. It isn’t that I am a big potato chip fan; I just wanted to have a bag of each to try on the K-Bear Morning Show. I just figured it would be a public service to let you know a) the chips are in town and b) how they tasted.
So off we went, first stopping at the Albertson’s by 32nd and Grand near my house – Swing and a miss. We then headed to Walmart on King. Strike two. Two more Albertsons stores and we still had an empty grocery sack. It appears the new chips have no made their way to the Magic City. But when they do, I will have them on the air.
Oh, the evening wasn’t a total loss, we did stop for ice cream!
