Footage from video cameras turned out to be the tool that help put Jesse Speer in jail for the abduction and assault of an 11-yr old Cody girl last week. Jesse Speer is 39 and from Manhattan, Montana.

Beartooth Highway Is Now Open

Beartooth Highway is now open! At least partially. I spoke with the Montana Department of Transportation and they told me that the scenic highway is open from Red Lodge to Vista Point but poor weather is keeping the Wyoming side of the highway closed. Over the last couple of weeks, a number of the staff here at K-Bear Radio have just popped into my office to say hi and have short visits. I felt touched and humbled until I realized that my personal Girl Scout Cookie supply was dwindling down. Apparently the new Savannah Smiles cookies are doing well because my box is feeling pretty light!

Help Name an Endangered Ferret

She is small and cute, but this little ferret needs a name! The National Zoo's conservation center is asking the public for help in naming their 6-month-old endangered black-footed ferret. The animal was born at a zoo facility in Virginia on April 15th.
