Farm Living Is the Life For Me…(Well Sort Of)
Doesn't it always seem that the little things in life bring us the most satisfaction?
Doesn't it always seem that the little things in life bring us the most satisfaction?
I read the other day about a new season that is taking the area by storm…”Sprinter” was the term used to describe what we’ve been experiencing lately.
Sprinter is what you get when there is left over weather from Winter and it carries over to the Spring
A band of heavy snow will remain in the Billings area until later this morning. This will help produce 2 to 3 inches of additional snow before conditions begin to improve. Expect snowpacked and icy roadways and reduced visibility especially along interstate 90 between Billings and Hardin
There is jut enough wind coming down the mountain east slopes today to keep us dry, and boost temperatures a bit more. Highs in the area Friday will be mainly in the upper 20s to low 30s, and the sky will remain partly to mostly clear
A Pacific storm system will move into the area today producing a steady light snowfall across the area from late in the day Today through Thursday. The heaviest snowfall will be along and south of The I-90 and I-94 east to west line
Pacific moisture will move over the very cold air in place across Eastern Montana and Northern Wyoming today, bringing periods of light to moderate snowfall to the region through tonight. Temperatures will generally hold steady or drop through the rest of the day
High pressure will bring warmer and dry conditions to the region today with highs 35 to 45. Lows drop to 15 to 25 degrees. Saturday will be partly cloudy with highs 25 to 35.
Colder air will drop south for the weekend with high temperatures falling below seasonal levels Sunday through early next week
Strong and gusty southwest winds will continue around Livingston into this afternoon. Gusts to 80 mph have been reported early in the day but winds will taper off somewhat this afternoon and evening. Some gusty winds will remain through Friday morning
The leftover result from Hurricane Sandy is overwhelming to think about. Millions left without power, no running water, short on food. Our job as Americans, even thousands of miles away here in Billings, Montana is to help out
You will notice a little cooler temperature today and for the rest of the work week actually. 70's and 80's primarily. With that said keep in mind the Gazette reports that Red Flag warnings are still in place:
While the temperatures will be cooler, that doesn't mean the summer's seemingly-endless streak of dangerous fire weather is over. The NWS has issued a red flag warning for the lower half of Eastern Montana, from Billings to the east, until 9 p.m., cautioning of low humidity and gusty winds of as much as 30 mph before a wind shift hits as a cold front moves into the area.
Keri and I enjoyed just sitting on the porch last night taking in the 40 minute shower on the West end of Billings! Yes our driveway flooded but the water didn't reach the house. Ed McIntosh from Q-2 said Billings Logan field had an official 0.23 of an inch but the west end National Weather Service recorded
0.73!
