Study Shows TV Can Hinder the Development of Children Under 2

Pediatricians and development experts have strongly urged parents, once again, to limit the amount of television their young children watch.

The American Academy of Pediatrics released a recommendation to all parents of children under 2 years old Tuesday. It stressed that any time spent in front of a video screen provides no educational benefits for children under age 2 and can even delay development by leaving less time for important interaction and play.

Fall TV 2011: CBS Cancels ‘$#*! My Dad Says’; NBC Unveils Fall Schedule

Well, $#*!.

CBS announced Sunday that is pulling the plug on the William Shatner vehicle '$#*! My Dad Says' after just one season.

The sitcom, which was based on the popular Twitter feed by Justin Halpern, debuted to strong ratings last fall, but stumbled as the season progressed. Critics' reviews, meanwhile, were less than kind.

Also getting the axe: the legal drama 'The Defenders' and the new comedy 'Mad Love,' co-starring Judy Greer.

Bristol Palin Lands Reality TV Show

And now for the most convoluted-sounding show ever: EW.com is reporting that Bristol Palin will star in a reality series for Bio, in which she and her son, Tripp, will move from Alaska to Los Angeles to live with actors Chris and Kyle Massey. Oh, and she'll also work for a charity.

According to the report, Bio has ordered 10 half-hour episodes of the series, with a launch date set for later this year.

Palin and Kyle Massey met while they competed during the eleventh season of 'Dancing With the Stars,' in which they finished in third and second place, respectively.
