My morning commute is a pretty quick one. It must have something to do with leaving the house at 3:45 every morning. But I know that might be changing soon with the coming of "Traffic Season".
I mentioned my driving mishap this morning on the K-Bear Morning Show – the driver that was making a left turn across a set of parallel yellow lines…What’s that old phrase – ‘You learn something new every day’? Guess what?
I am a firm believer in “traffic Karma”. Not sure if you are familiar with the concept so let me explain: Traffic Karma is when you give someone on the road a break. Whether you let them cut in, give up a parking space to someone else, let someone know they left their lights on, help someone broke down on side of the road, or even giving someone a lift to get gas
Look what has cleared up!
A couple of days before last weeks holiday a water main broke on about 5th and Broadwater and there has been a nice swerve over detour set up. On my way back from lunch I noticed the detour cones were gone and the hole was filled in. Water must be running good now. That takes care of part of our Billings road construction. Expect shoulder and median work to continue at various locations on I-90 from the Laurel interchange to Pinehills interchange…Expect single lane traffic with reduced speeds throughout the area.
Refurbishing operations continue on the skybridge that goes over North 29th St Street
Motorist need to be aware of strong winds that will make travel difficult along I-90 from Reed Point to the Bozeman pass and along the foothills of the Beartooth and Absaroka mountains including the town of Nye through this evening…strong cross winds can especially make travel difficult for high profile vehicles and towing units.

If your planning on traveling over the next few days be prepared for periodic snow, occasional winds, bitter cold temperatures and dangerous wind chills…Some roads throughout the region are snow packed and slick. Make sure you take all the necessary precautions including traveling with that winter survival kit.
In Billings all roads are snow covered and snow packed and are very slippery. Slow down, buckle up and take your time!
Here is a look at Cruise Control road conditions this Tuesday morning.
In Billings all roads are either snow packed or partially snow packed and icy…expect icy and slick intersections this morning.
In Billings roads are mostly dry with some scattered areas of moisture…Remember we have some serious pot holes around the magic city so be on the look out for them….some are very large and deep and can really do some major damage to your vehicle.
Last week a very observant listener to Kbear called into my morning show about the fact that Billings Police Chief, Rich St. John's personal vehicle had a tail light out.
