Lorax Statue Stolen From Dr. Seuss Estate

The Lorax‘ movie has brought some well-deserved attention to the late Dr. Seuss‘ furry orange tree protector.

But not all of this attention has been of a positive nature. In fact, some heartless thieves have stolen a 300-pound statue of the Lorax from Theodor Seuss Geisel’s San Diego estate where his 90-year-old widow, Audrey Geisel, still resides.

Florida Police on the Lookout for a Giant Slice of Pizza

There is a six-foot-tall slice of pizza on the loose in or around Lakeland, FL. Described by police as having pepperoni, mushrooms, green peppers and black olives, it’s actually a promotional costume for the local Papa John’s.

As you can see in the surveillance tape below, the slice was swiped by a man who appears to be around 18 with a serious taste for pizza.

Oops! Embarrassed SWAT Team Has Their Guns Stolen

Well, this is humiliating. Thieves using bolt cutters were able to force their way into a supposedly secure building earlier Thursday morning and steal 21 MP-5 submachine guns and 12 large caliber handgun from the Los Angeles police department’s prestigious SWAT unit.

Turns out that underneath all his famously bad hair, Donald Trump actually does have something slightly resembling a heart.

After 10-year-old Culley Larson’s BMX bike was stolen, the youngster hoped to appeal to the thief by writing a letter to his paper asking for its return. ABC News picked up his cause and their coverage went viral. The dastardly criminal never did surface, but several generous benefactors did — including Trump.
