April 16, 2012 These two suspicious packages have been here, at the corner of 1st Avenue North and 27th street in downtown Billings since Saturday afternoon (April 14). It is now 4:30 a.m. on Monday, April 16 and they are still sitting at the corner!
April 13, 2012 UPDATE: The lights are back on for thousands of Billings residents. Power was restored about 11:45 this morning after a widespread outage. Approximately 11,000 Northwestern Energy customers across the Magic City were without power for about 45 minutes after the 8th Street substation went down. Claudia Rapkoch of Northwestern Energy says the cause was a squirrel in the substation.

April 4, 2012 Billings Super Spring Garage Sale is coming to the Shrine Auditorium on May 12! If you're an early bird shopper, those hours are from 7:00 a.m. till 3:00 p.m. for $5, or $3 from 8:30 a.m. till 3:00 p.m. The nominal fee is way less than the tank of gas you would use driving around all day from garage sale to garage sale.
