The British Film Institute has announced that they’ll screen the Beatles classic ‘Magical Mystery Tour’ with a new behind-the-scenes BBC TV ‘Arena’ series feature titled ‘Magical Mystery Tour Revisited.’ The Examiner reports that the event comes Oct. 2, a week before the rumored release of a Blu-Ray and restored DVD surrounding the film.

A handwritten letter Paul McCartney wrote on August 12, 1960, offered an unidentified drummer an audition just a few days before the Beatles departed for their legendary two-month stint in Hamburg, Germany, reports CBS News.
Ex-Beatles Paul McCartney and Ringo Starr attended the U.K. premiere of the documentary ‘George Harrison: Living in the Material World’ in London on October 2, as did the widows of their late band mates Harrison (Olivia Harrison) and John Lennon (Yoko Ono).
Their presence sent a loud and clear message about their love and respect for the so-called quiet member of the Fab Four. Other music notables on hand included Beatles producer George Martin and Rolling Stones guitarist Ronnie Wood.
