Shocker! Coaching Change For Montana Grizzly Football Program

As the Montana Grizzlies gear up for another season of college football, there has been some movement on the coaching front. After 44 years of coaching football, 29 years coaching college ball current Associate Head Coach, Mick Delaney is stepping down.
It is kind of cool that when I attended Great Falls High School in 1976 and 1977, Mick Delaney was the Bison Football coach and I was the team manager! All of a sudden I feel very old. I remember Coach Delaney as a fun and strategic coach with the Bison. He always respected the fact that I was ” the team manager”. I always felt included as part of the team. Enjoy your retirement Mr. Delaney.
Head coach Robin Pflugrad says that Delaney was not just a great coach, but a better person, and he earned respect from every person involved in Grizzly athletics.
There are now 3 Grizzly coaching openings to fill on the staff . Offensive Coordinator, Defensive Coordinator and now Associate Head Coach vacated by Delaney. Coach Pflugrad expects to name replacements as soon as next week.
