Ryan Leaf Booted from Treatment Facility!
Ryan Leaf is in trouble again! Now the former NFL quarterback is in the Montana State Prison in Deer Lodge! Apparently he threatened a staff member at a drug treatment facility in Lewistown and had some other behavioral issues as well.
The Great Falls native was charged last spring with breaking into two houses and stealing prescription drugs. He pleaded guilty last May to reduced charges and his five year sentence called for serving nine months in treatment as opposed to prison.
According the Montana Department of Corrections website, Leaf has been an inmate at the prison since January 10. It’s not clear how the change would affect his probation violation he is facing in Texas for 2010 drug charges.
The former San Diego Chargers quarterback was the number two pick in the 1998 draft but his pro career was short-lived and Leaf became known as one of the biggest busts in NFL history.
Will this guy ever learn?
