Round One Goes To Me
If you’ve been following my blogs over the past couple of weeks, no doubt you are familiar with my recent escapades with a shoulder injury, a failure at my first attempt at an MRI and my overall fear of needles.
I am happy to report that yesterday afternoon I successfully took the first injection to treat two ruptured discs in my spine. Yep – injection. 8 inch needle. Right into the base of my neck.
But I have to preface anything I say here with the statement that the people at Billings Clinic and Surgery Center are amazing. They recognized my fear and handled this 48 year old baby wonderfully. Tip of the hat to Megan, Lisa and the other nurses.
I can report this morning that I survived round one of three of injections into my neck to help mend the damage in my spine. According to Dr. Duey, I should start feeling relief by Friday, Just in time to carry the grocery bags and do the weekend chores…thanks Doc!
