Roger McGuinn Says Byrds Won’t Fly Again [VIDEO]

In an interview with Rolling Stone magazine Roger McGuinn founding member of The Byrds has poured cold water on any chance of a Byrds reunion.
Roger McGuinn said “I’ll quote Paul McCartney, who was asked to reform the Beatles back when John Lennon and George Harrison were still alive. He said, ‘You can’t reheat a soufflé.’ That’s pretty much the case with me.” When asked to explain that answer a little further McGuinn said, “I don’t want to be an oldies act, kind of dragging around on the road just for the money. I’m really happy doing what I do.” Roger McGuinn has a new album called CCD (as in Sea CD), a set of 23 songs of the sea, and on the horizon, Roger has an autobiographical DVD, with a working title called The River Flows, and a benefit concert to aid the visually impaired in South Orange, NJ on September 18. Well since we aren’t going to see a Byrds reunion I guess we’ll have to settle with this blast from the past. Here’s the Byrds performing.
