Road Dogs “Toy Run” Rolls Through Billings

Here at FM Newsradio 95 we have learned a lot about what it means to give to kids during the holidays. We have been blessed to be affiliated with the two huge toy drives this year. Toys For Tots continues on the Billings Morning News this morning with the Marines, St. Vincent De Paul and Family Service Inc..
The Marines and the Road Dogs agree, that at the end of the day it’s all about the kids!
And Sunday, December 9 at noon the annual Road Dogs Toy Run rolled through downtown and the west end of Billings to Rimrock Mall with two semi’s hauling families and kids and sponsors of the annual Toy Run followed by two filled to the top dump trucks. This was my 4th year riding with the Road Dogs in the parade and seeing the happy faces along the route as we drove and rode by them.
Road Dog, “Goofy”put it into perspective when asked by KTVQ what this event means to them:
This year, they purchased more than $22,000 worth of toys for the less fortunate.
That translates into 500 families experiencing Christmas on December 25th, 500 families with toys for their kids, 500 families who get to enjoy this holiday season.
The most rewarding part of the event was watching the mountain of toys grow at the mall upon our arrival! Good work to all involved and you have helped to make Christmas possible in many families lives.
