Recycle Your Christmas Tree
So the presents are gone, the paper has been cleaned up and the Christmas tree needs to be taken down. Where to take it? It’s a question asked every year at this time. Trees that are donated for recycling, are turned into wood mulch for use at ZooMontana, the Montana Audubon Conservation Education Center and the city of Laurel. Fortunately we have the answer. But before dropping off your tree, make sure that you remove all the ornaments, any tinsel and any other trimmings. And then take your tree to anyone of the following places:
ZooMontana, 2100 S. Shiloh Road, Golden Recycling, 1100 Sixth Ave. North, Hanser’s Automotive, 430 S. Billings Blvd., Magnum Development in Laurel; Lockwood Schools, 3329 Driftwood Lane, Rocky Mountain Compost, 3060 Farley Lane, the Norm Haaland property, located one mile south of Shepherd, the Methodist Church parking lot in Huntley, the Custer Station, on Second Ave. in Custer; the Broadview School in Broadview. Trees may be dropped off at any of the locations above through Jan. 27. For more information, call 248-6617
