Peter Frampton “Comes Alive” 35th Anniversary [VIDEO]

Time to celebrate the 35th Anniversary of Peter Frampton’s double live LP from 1976 “Comes Alive” The girls couldn’t get enough of him and the guys thought that the guitar playing was righteous.
Released on January 6, 1976, it debuted on the charts at 191. The album reached number one on the Billboard 200 the week ending April 10, 1976, and was in the top spot for a total of 10 weeks. It was the best-selling album of 1976, selling over 6 million copies in the U.S. and became one of the best-selling live albums to date. Frampton Comes Alive! was voted “Album of the year” in the 1976 Rolling Stone readers poll. It stayed on the chart for 97 weeks and was still #14 on Billboard’s 1977 year-end album chart.
This album was being handed out like free boxes of Tide in your box! I ran several used record stores and everytime somebody brought in a box of albums…yep! There it was!
Peter has enjoyed a great career and on the 35th anniversary of the release of the album Peter Frampton and his band are doing the entire album LIVE with shows thru-out the US this summer! Oh yeah here are some then & now pictures and enjoy the video!
