New Elvis Movie Slated For 2012 [VIDEO]
He was the King of Rock N Roll and he was also the King of the silver screen! Well Elvis has been gone now for 35 years (next August…will somebody let Michelle Bachmann know?) but The King of Rock N Roll is releasing a new movie for 2012!
A film on the life of Elvis Presley based on the 2007 book Elvis: Still Taking Care of Business, written by the King’s bodyguard and friend Sonny West, is due to be released in mid-2012. Director John Scheinfeld has been tagged to direct and re-write the script for Fame & Fortune, which is scheduled to be released to coincide with the 35th anniversary of Presley’s death on August 16, 1977. “At the heart, this is the story of an intimate friendship,” said Scheinfeld, who has documented the lives of John Lennon, Harry Nilsson, amongst other great stars.
