My Vacation Potpourri [PHOTOS]
Over the last 11 days, I realized that I love vacations! I took 11 days off and it felt wonderful. I was fortunate enough to do a few different things on this Summer vacation. Some right here in Billings as well as down in the Southern United States. The first order of business was trying the new Mooyah Burgers . What a great addition to Billings! I also made time to try the new Pizza Ranch. Love the atmosphere and the variety of food. Keri and I tried the lunch buffet so we got a good feel for the entire menu. Great family gathering spot.
Then it was off to Louisville, Kentucky for the hi-lite of my time off! My wife, Keri works for the Billings Chamber of Commerce and a few of her co-workers were flying away for a working conference and they asked if I could tag along. I said yes! They “worked” and I played tourist and lined up events to do after their daily meetings. Among the many things that we did was hang out on “4th street live” which is kind of like Alive After Five here in Billings. A great festival type of setting. Food, fun, live music everyday of the week!
I am a huge baseball fan and we had a chance to visit the Louisville Slugger Baseball Museum. They were working on New York Yankee bats for Derek Jeter during our tour. Louisville has the AAA for the Cincinnati Reds! Their team is called the Louisville Bats! I hope to hear that some of our Billings Mustangs play for them in the near future. We also toured a piece of history, The Kentucky Derby’s, Churchill Downs.
Enjoy my vacation photo gallery! Wait till you see the picture of Col. Sanders!
