Laurel Auto Parts Store Destroyed by Fire

Laurel fire officials will begin their investigation today on a blaze that leveled a Laurel auto parts store last night.
Firefighters responded to the scene of the fire at 309 East Main Street around 7:30p.m. Neighboring businesses, the Palace Bar and Lanes and Fat Jacks Tap Room were evacuated as crews fought the blaze. 32 firefighters from Laurel, Billings, Park City and Molt battled the blaze and were able to bring the flames under control about 1:30a.m. Miscellaneous, chemicals, motor oils, automotive fluids, parts and paint fueled the blaze making it difficult to fight. The cause of the fire has not been determined.
