Labor Day Weekend Re-Cap With the Big Sky All-Stars[AUDIO]
I have been following the Big Sky All-Stars since they entered the Little League World Series the first part of August. This weekend was kind of like the end of riding the wave with 3 celebrations for our little leaguers from Billings. The biggest celebration of the weekend was hosted by the Billings Chamber of Commerce and Downtown Billings.
I was glad to be part of the Burn the Point parade on Friday night and was honored to be riding in a nice Mercedes behind the Big Sky All-Stars. The entire team showed great pride as Grand Marshals.

Then Saturday, 5:30pm arrived and I entered Dehler Park and joined about 5,500 to 6,000 supporters of the Big Sky All-Stars. It was one of the most energy filled broadcast of my career fueled by the cheers for these boys. The crowd cheered as the team entered right field, led by Governor Brian Schweitzer and Mayor Tom Hanel and his wife Robin. After hamburgers, chips, Pepsi and all the speeches, the boys were gracious enough to hang out for about two hours to sign autographs. Nobody was left behind. Then we had 3 more hours of celebration at the Shrine Auditorium on Sunday. I can’t wait for Little League in the Spring!
