Just $10 Short…
Spent the day “junqueing” with my wife. We started at the Boys & Girls Clubs Flea Market and discovered two things: 1) There are an abundance of hidden treasures in the Magic City and 2) Bring cash next time (I stretched the $2 I had into a $5 purchase)….What a great fund raiser for one of my favorite places. We also went out to the Red Barn, a few shops in Laurel and the Oxford downtown on Montana Avenue. What a great place! If you haven’t paid a visit to Montana Avenue lately, treat yourself some Saturday afternoon. There are some fun shops there. It was at the Oxford where I was just shy of adding a 1937 Wurlitzer Jukebox to our home…okay I was $2,990 short of the $3,000 purchase price. That and the approval of my wife. It really was an amazing piece of furniture and fully functional. Maybe next time. To console myself we headed over to Brockel’s Chocolates. I guess a Billings Melted Mint will have to do for today.
