James Taylor Salutes Carnegie Hall

The pop, country and jazz music history of New York’s historic Carnegie Hall was celebrated Tuesday night. JAMES TAYLOR was the host for the night!
James Taylor as the host for the 120th anniversary event which left the hall’s usual classical music tradition aside for the evening. Famous debuts on that legendary stage were saluted, including STING paying tribute to THE BEATLES who played at Carnegie Hall during their first visit to America in February of 1964…even though he decided to sing “Penny Lane,” which didn’t come out until 1967. BETTE MIDLER also performed, along with DIANNE REEVES, BARBARA COOK and STEVE MARTIN. I wonder if Steve Martin brought his arrows thru the head and his banjo?
