If It’s Not One Thing….
In December it was the Mayan calendar, in January it was the credit card bills from Christmas and now there is a double whammy for February! Not only am I supposed to remember Valentine’s Day, I also have to worry about an asteroid hitting earth? Apparently this asteroid was discovered last February 22nd by astronomers in Spain. They named it 2012 DA 14 – I think the DA14 stands for “day after the 14th”, because that is when it is expected to pass by earth. The experts say that you will be able to view the 150 foot wide space rock with binoculars. Still being new to the area, my best guess would be to head to the Rims and hope for a clear night. The best time to see it will be around 3am, just when I am getting ready to head in to start the K-Bear Morning Show. Maybe I’ll have a good view from the studios on the 23rd floor? Anyone else with a better viewing area for the stars? Feel free to share here.
