Hot Chocolate Girls Making Christmas Special for Kids in Need!
Ashlyn and Ashley’s 7th Annual Toys for Tots Fundraiser is coming up tomorrow night and you can help them make Christmas special for children in need! Beginning at 5:00p.m. tomorrow stop by 3628 Glantz Drive, otherwise known as “Misfit Lane”, and enjoy a treat from the Hot Chocolate Girls and bring a toy or cash donation for Toys for Tots!
Over the past 6 years the girls have received lots of community support and have raised over $14,000 for the Marines Toys for Tots Campaign. This year they hope to raise $6,000. 100% of the proceeds are used to purchase toys for kids of all ages. The westend Target has been a generous supporter of the girls fundraiser and are supplying all the cups, lids and cocoa to help them reach their goal. Their campaign began after seeing the Toys for Tots commercial on television in which a young boy hands a Marine his Christmas wish list. They were told how the Marines help Santa bring presents to children who normally go without. That’s when they decided they wanted to help by selling hot chocolate and candy canes for a donation while people enjoyed looking at Christmas lights in their neighborhood.
