Parents are getting ready to pop the corks on the sparkling cider as they wave goodbye to their little ones and kiss another summer goodbye. Oh yeah….we’re there. It’s back to school time!
Another school year could bring another round of traffic jams, parking issues and stressed-out drivers if students and parents don’t prepare for the first week.
Some will use the first days back to get into familiar routines, while others will hit their first commute learning curve.

Adhering to signs, wearing bicycle helmets and crossing the street at designated crosswalks are at the top of the list. Each school year brings a new slew of traffic complaints, more so at the high school level than elementary.
Other valuable tips include mapping out the best route to walk to school and making sure students know their home address and phone number in case they get lost.
