Gotta Love A Weekend In Billings
Another amazing weekend in the Magic City… If I am going on too much about the weather, forgive me.
After spending almost 14 months in Juneau, Alaska-where it never dried out for more than two hours at a time, I am so enamored with the blue skies and sunshine. Sure this Saturday was a bit on the snowy, cloudy side. But it was sandwiched by a beautiful sunset Friday evening and a gorgeous day today.
Clouds on Saturday gave me a chance to take in a movie (Identity Thief), get a haircut, and take care of a few other “chores” that I had been putting off. We even discovered Soup & Such downtown and the cupcake shop next door. It was here where we met Alicia, one of the Co-Chairs of the local Alzheimer’s Chapter who were having an event.
Today was all about finding the Chips and getting some sun. Both missions accomplished. Tune in to the K-Bear Morning show tomorrow to hear about the quest for the new Lays potato chips.
As for the sun, we spent the afternoon walking the trails at Swords Park, absorbing plenty of Vitamin D. And we were not alone. There were a few dozen or more people and dogs enjoying the blue sky.
I need more trail suggestions….help me out people.
