Here’s a couple of clues: This duo formed the group Tom & Jerry in 1957 and had their first success with the minor hit “Hey, Schoolgirl”. Worked into the mix is the sound of drumsticks falling on the parquet floor of the Columbia Records studio in Los Angeles. A bit of xylophone that was heavily processed and added to the track. The duo had a lot of fun recording it and were enjoying various experiments in sound.
