Dogs In My Future
I was changing the dates on our wipe off calendar this morning and realized we are 2 months into our six month lease of our apartment on the West end of Billings. More importantly, four months to go until we can move to a house. Believe me when I say we are counting the days for a couple of reasons. First off, I miss gardening. Since my early teen years I’ve loved mowing the lawn and growing flowers….seriously. And gardening came into play as an adult. Secondly, we are dog people. And it’s three years today since we had a dog. What a hole in our lives. Kids grow up, move out but are always around. A dog grows up with the family but when they are gone, they are gone. Sad. So come June we begin our search for a new house that takes pets – yep, plural. We are going to adopt two dogs. And don’t even get me started on the chickens…that is another story.
