Cool Off During the Yellowstone Boat Float

Every July, hundreds of people take to the water for the annual Yellowstone Boat Float. Rafts, jet boats, kayaks and canoes make the 95 mile journey from Livingston to Laurel. Floaters from all over the country including Washington, Las Vegas, Seattle, New Mexico, and Wyoming come to celebrate summer and have a wild time.
This year marks the 49th annual float. It will run from July 12- 15. There is a kick off party on the first day to launch the event. The next day, participants launch from Mayor’s Landing in Livingston. The first stop is in Big Timber, then the fleet will take off for Reed Point Saturday morning. Sunday, the Float continues to Laurel where it wraps up.
