Chili, It’s What’s for Lunch
My wife makes the best chili! She cooked it up last night for dinner and made just enough for lunch today. Here is her “secret” recipe, actually there is only one secret ingredient.
- Big ol’ can of chili beans,
- One small can of kidney beans
- One pound of hamburger
- Garlic salt
- Regular salt
- Bay leaf
- A shake or two of lemon pepper
- Table spoon of chili powder
- A can of jalapeno peppers
This will make you enough for, four servings at dinner and just enough for two or three servings for the next day at lunch.
….oh, that lone secret ingredient is a cup of Pace brand picante sauce. A little shredded cheddar and a dollop of sour cream and it’s perfect. Hungry? Okay there you go, now it’s your turn to share your quick, winter lunch item.
