Community Living Is Not For Me
This is the first time I have ever lived in an apartment. Seriously. In Alaska we were in a Condo – not quite the same as an apartment. Before that, it was houses.. So I am adjusting to apartment living

Pinterest – What it is it? I don't get it....I love technology. I am a self admitted Facebook addict. I sleep with my Smartphone by my bed. But I don't get Pinterest. Someone help me here. Call me, email me, text me - fill me in this morning on the K-Bear Morning Show? What am I missing?
I am sorry, but I don't get Honey Boo Boo. Where is the joy in exploiting the life of a 7 year old little girl? Her show returned last night with new espisodes and the overnight ratings were better than expected
After talking about it all week, my wife and I decided a day trip to Red Lodge was in order – so off we went heading Southwest on 212 to Red Lodge. I had talked to a few folks earlier last week what was there – but they really undersold the charm of the town
My Seattle Seahawk roots are reving up...The 'Hawks have not won a playoff game on the road since 1983...Ever since I was 12 and got my Seahawk AM radio, I have been a fan. I am hoping Sunday we break that losing streak when we visit DC to play the Washington Redskins
A funny thing happened in my office this morning. Our Digital Editor Josh and our Operation Manager Andy stopped in to talk about the K-Bear Facebook page and our web site. You would have loved to have been eaves dropping on the conversation that took place
Over the last 5 years or so, I think I have become a less compassionate person. Now there are several personal reasons for this that I won't get into on the blog. But what you do need to know is this morning I was hit with one of those "random acts of kindness" events - On the way in this morning I stopped at the Holiday market by my house to grab an orange juice
My GPS unit in my car is having a hard time adjusting to living in Montana. I am not sure why, but he (I use the male voice) is mispronouncing simple store names. He says Albretsons, instead of Albertsons
Men's Health Magazine just released a list of “must visit” places for 2013. There are 13 places listed, with 5 of them within a day's plane flight from Billings. Topping the list this year is San Sebastian, Spain
Anyone wake up New Year’s morning and think “Where is the magic”? As a kid I always expected to wake up on the first day of a new year and feel different. But I never did. Now as an adult, I still have that anticipation on New Year’s Eve (or NYE for those that are saving characters when they tweet or post to Facebook) and again I wake up the first day of a new year and nothing
While wondering around downtown today I fell in love. Not with another woman, not with a puppy, but with a candy store! My wife and I were exploring downtown again today and came upon Brokel’s Chocolate store on 29th
So we are reaching critical mass around my house right now. With end of the Holidays in sight, we also have the bottom of the treat jar in sight. And the dilemma is: Should we make a final batch of Holiday treats or start the New Year’s resolution of healthy eating early? It really is a tough decision, especially since we don’t have any children within 900 miles of us, and we don’t have to set a good example… What would you do? I am asking for your help on this one
