June 27, 2012 Here’s the latest on the fire situation near Roundup! The Dahl Fire has now grown to more than 18,000 acres. Hundreds of families still remain out of their homes southwest of Roundup. The Musselshell County Attorney told the Billings Gazette that at least 60 homes had burned.
California has certainly had its share of financial woes, and now the city of Stockton, about 80 miles east of San Francisco, is set to become the largest American municipality to declare bankruptcy.
June 27, 2012 After hearing of the grass fire on the afternoon of June 26 and then hearing it is over 10,000 acres later that night, my first thought was for the residents of that area. Now it has become a true wild fire! Then you turn the T.V. news on and see horses running out onto the highway to escape the flames and black, billowing smoke that covered highway 87!
Despite a terrible battle with flesh-eating disease that claimed her left leg, right foot and both hands, Georgia student Aimee Copeland was able to briefly leave her hospital room for the first time in 49 days. And from here, doctors say, her prognosis is good.

June 26, 2012 It was my weekly "Mayor Call" with Tom Hanel on the show this morning as it is every Tuesday and the Mayor gave his bullet points from the Monday City Council meeting. He was happy that the meeting was only 35 minutes long this time and the council accomplished major business including the approval to move ahead with the new Billings Library.
Just a few months ago, analysts were worried gas prices would soar this summer, possibly topping $6 a gallon. But now that the warmer months are upon us, there’s been an abrupt about-face.
In fact, fuel prices are now falling so steadily that many experts predict that by this fall, a gallon of gas will be under $3.
