Up until recently, the only wall allowed in Boston’s Fenway Park, home of the Boston Red Sox, was the mighty Green Monster. That is until yesterday (July 1) when Roger Waters rolled in with a wall of his own. Building ‘The Wall’ of the Pink Floyd era double album variety in the historic ball park, Waters made quick work of the legendary stadium, making it his own musical playground.
Piano great Joe Jackson is paying homage to a legend that came way before his time with the new covers album, ‘The Duke.’ The disc is a collection of reinterpreted Duke Ellington classics as done by Jackson and his band, along with special guests like Iggy Pop, Steve Vai, and The Roots’ Ahmir “?uestlove” Thompson among others.

For the fifth time in their careers, Chicago and the Doobie Brothers will tour together. The two classic rock bands will be on the road playing mostly sheds and amphitheaters for 25 dates across the country between July 11 and August 26. Chicago are the headliners, but the show promises to have both bands on stage for the finale playing some of their biggest hits.
It’s a very cool time for fans of the Jefferson Starship. Back in 2009 at the ‘Roswell UFO Parade & Festival’, the band, along with the likes of Grateful Dead keyboardist Tom Constanten, among others, performed a sci-fi concert at Pearson Auditorium in honor of the parade, also acting as the ‘Grand Martians’ for that year.
Eddie Van Halen says the current album cycle with David Lee Roth isn’t a one-time gimmick. This is the future of Van Halen, and the band has a bright future. In an interview with Guitar World the legendary guitarist talks about what once held them back and what now keeps them looking forward.
