The return of Kristen Wiig to the SNL stage meant the resurrection of several great characters, including the Target Lady, her role on The Californians and, of course, Kat of "Garth and Kat" fame. The world's worst musical duo made an appearance on Weekend Update and it was as funny as it has ever been.
Since it's produced so quickly, SNL will never not take advantage of any holiday that arrives near its air date. That meant that last night's episode saw a handful of mom-themed sketches in honor of Mother's Day! In one of the most bizarre stories of the year so far, the Spanish-language network Univision announced yesterday that it was planning to produce its own version of the hit AMC show 'Breaking Bad.' However, it turns out that the announcement was premature to say the very least. Sony, who produces the the show for AMC, says that no deal is in place at the moment.
Last year, right around this time, 'Community' fans were shocked and awed that the show would return for season 4... but without series creator/showrunner Dan Harmon. The fourth season was wobbly, and Harmon's presence was sorely missed, but now there's word/a ray of hope that he could be brought back for the recently announced fifth season.
