In July of 2008, the carcass of a bloated, chimera-like animal washed ashore in Long Island. The ‘Montauk Monster‘ terrified and fascinated the nation that summer, with zoologists eventually concluding the beast was probably a water-damaged raccoon, rather than some sort of byproduct of a top-secret experiment gone horribly wrong.
Four years later, it looks like we have another monster on our hands.
Large swaths of the nation are currently being blasted with extreme heat. If you happen to live one of these boiling regions, you are probably wondering how folks were able to properly function in such conditions before there was air conditioning.
Now imagine if you had to face triple-digit temperatures with a thick coat of fur. That’s what dogs have to do, and that’s why the dog in the video below loves AC even more than you do. Check it out.
Normally dolphins are pretty friendly creatures, which is why it’s so surprising there’s a seriously ticked off bottlenose terrorizing the residents of an upscale waterfront community in Louisiana. In fact, the animal has already bitten three people swimming in Lake Pontchartrain in Slidell. He sure could learn a lesson or two from this kissing dolphin.

April 24, 2012 On the the K-Bear Morning Show of April 23 , we heard of a spectacular barn fire way out on Grand and 70th street.
The damage was said to have been in the $1 million range. This wasn't just a barn, this was a horse riding stable to 3 teenage girls, all of whom lost horses in the blaze.
A 53-year-old Ohio man has been charged with counts of animal cruelty and abandoning animals after he allegedly left six four-week-old puppies in a zipped suitcase. Fortunately, the puppies and their mother — who was waiting nearby — were discovered shortly after being abandoned and all survived the terrible ordeal. Yay!
