Blast From the Past
I had a little flashback to the 80′s and 90′s last night. My wife and I were in need of a recording device, not to make a mix-tape, but rather record some other audio. In other situations I would use the DVR, but since the radio stations in Billings are not broadcast over the cable system here, we were forced to go all the way back to using a tape recorder. Yep, one of those little plastic thingies, with thin brown tape.
We actually own a tape recorder – Okay it is a multi-functional alarm clock, am/fm, tape deck, with soothing sounds too. With all of these options, I am guessing it was an expensive purchase back in 1990.
So that led to our next dilemma: Whether we actually owned a cassette tape to record on. And we didn’t. So the adventure began to discover a cassette tape – did they even make them any more in this digital world? Guess what, they do! And we found a five pack at a store that did not have the word “second hand” anywhere in their title!
