Billings Road Construction Heats Up [PHOTOS]
Look what has cleared up!

A couple of days before last weeks holiday a water main broke on about 5th and Broadwater and there has been a nice swerve over detour set up. On my way back from lunch I noticed the detour cones were gone and the hole was filled in. Water must be running good now. That takes care of part of our Billings road construction. Now there is a bottleneck in downtown Billings on Montana Avenue and 31st street as well as the on-going work over by the Chamber of Commerce. The work on Montana Avenue will be going on until aboutNovember. This time of year calm and patience will pay off when you run into road construction. Roadwatch Montana with Jon Arneson is one of our resources that we use on K-Bear to get the heads up on work being done on our roads in and out of town.

The best practice to avoid the tie-up on Montana Avenue is to cut over to 2nd avenue north at 31st street and come down the rest of the way to downtown Billings. Or just bypass Montana Avenue altogether.
