Magazine Ranks Billing Among Most Unlucky Places

Billings doesn’t fare too well when it comes to being lucky, according to a Men’s Health study determining which towns in America are the luckiest and the unluckiest to live in.
The men’s magazine looked at a number of factors, including the most winners of Powerball and Mega Millions lotteries, Publisher’s Clearing House Sweepstakes, the most hole-in-ones on the PGA tour, the fewest lightning strikes, the fewest deaths from falling objects, and the least money lost on lottery tickets and race betting.
Here are some of the luckiest cities in America and their “luckiness” grade:
- San Diego, California – A+
- Baltimore, Maryland – A+
- Phoenix, Arizona – A
- Wilmington, Delaware – A
- Richmond, Virginia – A-
- San Francisco, California – A-
- Las Vegas, Nevada – A-
- Philadelphia, Pennsylvania – A-
- Louisville, Kentucky – A-
- Reno, Nevada – B+
The least lucky cities in America that received “Fs” are:
- Fargo, North Dakota
- Miami, Florida
- Bridgeport, Connecticut
- St. Petersburg, Florida
- Billings, Montana
- Sioux Falls, South Dakota
- Memphis, Tennessee
- Jackson, Mississippi
- Tampa, Florida
- The least lucky of them all of all: Charleston, West Virginia
