Bike-Rider Robs Dunkin Donuts Drive-Thru
Police in Meriden, Connecticut, said a bicycle-riding robber threatened a clerk at a Dunkin’ Donuts drive-thru and pedaled away with a cash drawer.
Police said Vernon Lewis, 42, was spotted near the public library a short time later and he was found to be carrying $321 cash. He was identified as the suspect by Dunkin’ Donuts employees. Lewis, who has 45 previous arrests for robbery, was charged with first-degree robbery, second-degree larceny, second-degree threatening, interfering with police and brandishing a fake firearm.
