Bear’s Vinyl Vault Classic!

I have always loved this song…ever since I heard it AM radio way back in 1969 when I was kid in Spokane, WA.

Tony Joe White wrote “Rainy Night In Georgia” for Brook Benton in 1970 and “Steamy WIndows” for Tina Turner.

His record label wrote this record off as a failure originally but it finally became a top 10 hit in July 1969. Elvis recorded this record and so did Tom Jones but only Tony Joe White could give us the true “Polk Salad Annie”!
