Dave Swanson is a writer and musician from Cleveland, Ohio. He has spent a lifetime obsessed with all things Rock & Roll.  Dave has written for a variety of publications including Shindig!, Bucketful Of Brains, The Cleveland Scene and The Cleveland Plain Dealer. He has hosted his own radio show, promoted concerts and played in several bands including, but not limited to, Rainy Day Saints, Guided By Voices, The Cynics, New Salem Witch Hunters, Death Of Samantha, and Captain Groovy & His Bubblegum Army.   Favorite bands-Cheap Trick, The Monkees, Sparks, Motorhead, Beach Boys, Rockpile, XTC,Van Der Graaf Generator, Sweet, Bob Dylan,etc. Favortie color- paisley. Sign-Scorpio. Favorite Movies-Love And Death, Don't Look Back & Beyond The Valley Of The Dolls.  Political party-Mod & Rocker. Religion-Rock & Roll. His biggest regret is having no regrets. If not playing, writing, reading about, listening to, or discussing music, he is most likely dead.

50 Years Ago: The Beatles Record ‘From Me To You’

On March 5, 1963, the Beatles began recording sessions that would yield their third single, 'From Me To You.'  That afternoon, the band ran through seven takes of the tune. Written just a few days prior to the session, 'From Me To You' found the songwriting team of John Lennon and Paul McCartney moving forward.

30 Years Ago: Thin Lizzy Release Final Studio Album, ‘Thunder And Lightning’

On March 4, 1983, Thin Lizzy released what would end up being their final studio LP, 'Thunder And Lightning.' Bob Seger Debuts New Material At Toledo Concert

There he is, on the road again. Bob Seger and the Silver Bullet Band are off and running on their 2013 US tour. The tour got off to a good start last night (Feb. 27)  in Toledo, Ohio. Seger and band pulled out hit after hit, with the usual suspects like 'Night Moves' and 'Turn The Page' as well as deeper catalog numbers like 'Beautiful Loser' and 'Ramblin' Gamblin' Man' gracing the two-hour show.
