All I Got Was A Frying Pan
My wife and I took to the streets of Billings today with the goal of finding fabric and a small bookcase for my office. She has the idea of taking old sheets and turning them into napkins. It’s something that she discovered is a hot trend on the web site Etsy, a crafters paradise for sharing, shopping and just general “craftiness”. So off we went to all the thrift stores in town. We paid a visit to all three Montana Rescue Mission Bargain Centers, St. Vincent’s and Goodwill. We got the things she needed for the “napkin” craft project. But no bookcase for me. We did make a few other stops during the day, like at Marketplace 3301on 1st Avenue. We managed to spend $40 on a copper frying pan from the 1930s but not find my bookcase. But we did spend an hour and a half checking out every one of the booths. One of our other side trips today took us out to Laurel for wood fired pizza from Pitt’s Pizza. Yum. You’ve got to visit them in their new place…I know I will be returning soon. Perhaps during another adventure around the area to find a bookcase for my office.
