A Rainy Soaps It Up, But Successful [PICTURES]

At about 7:30am we arrived to set up for our 3 remote broadcasts at Auto Specialist/Carstar in the Heights on Saturday, June 9 for the 4th annual Soaps It Up Car Wash. It was rainy, cloudy and cold. First thought was, do we move the event to another date? No! We plugged our gear in and by the first break the clouds parted and out came a partly sunny day! The rain held off until the last break of the day at about 4 p.m. As soon as we loaded the last of the gear in the K-Bear van, the wind and rain started again. Perfect timing from Mother Nature all day long.
So thank you for supporting the Boys and Girls Clubs of Yellowstone County and Make a Wish Montana during the Soaps It Up Car Wash. You helped raise about $1,000 and washed about 70 cars!
Even Mayor Tom Hanel came by for the fun!
I think the Mayor had a hand in cleaning this truck!
